Job Advert: 2 Community Support worker
Location: Stewarton, must be local due to short shifts.
Pay Rate: £12 per hour
Position: 2 x 10hrs post. PLEASE NOTE THE 10HRS IS PER 4 WEEK PERIOD NOT 10HRS PER WEEK
The hrs are either to provide am support to assist getting up or pm support to assist bedding down. To be further discussed at interview.
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant / Support Worker to assist a young man with physical and learning disabilities in all aspects of his daily life. The primary role will involve supporting him with morning and evening routines, including showering, continence care, getting ready for bed, dressing, undressing, and personal hygiene tasks like brushing teeth. This is a double handling role, so you will work alongside another carer specifically around transfers using a tracking hoist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with showering, dressing, and morning and night-time routines.
- Support personal hygiene tasks such as brushing teeth.
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers (double handling).
- Encourage and support independence where possible.

Requirements:
- Preferably to have experience, but not essential as training will be given.
- Kind, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work as part of a team for double handling.
