Job Advert: 2 Personal Care Assistant – Driver

Location: Stewarton,

Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour

Position:  2 x 16hrs post, hrs will be over 5 days out of 7

Each post will be–  8.30am – 2.30pm or 2.30pm – 8.30pm, to be discussed at interview, some flexibility re start times.

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant / Support Worker to assist a gentleman who lives in his own apartment. The gentleman has MS. And requires assistance with all aspects of his daily care needs.

The primary role will involve supporting him with all his routines, including showering, continence care, getting dressed, undressing, and personal hygiene. This is a double handling role, so you will work alongside another carer specifically around transfers using a tracking hoist.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with showering, dressing, and morning and night-time routines.

Support personal hygiene tasks.

Assist with medication

Provide assistance with mobility and transfers (double handling).

Encourage and support independence where possible.

Catheter care experience preferred, but training can be given.

Experience of peg feeding preferred, but not essential as training can be give.

• Previous experience essential, unless otherwise stated
