CHILDRENS SUPPORT WORKER 13/11/2024 independent employer South Ayrshire

CHILDRENS SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED 8HRS PER WEEK.
DRIVER IS ESSENTIAL DUE TO RURAL LOCATION.
£12.00 PER HOUR.
REF 01/CS/JR.

Hi I am the parent here of a bubbly happy, sassy big personality nonverbal ASN girl age 4. I am looking for someone who would love to be involved in my daughter’s life and help me to help her grow in all aspects of her life doing fun things, for 8 hours a week split over during the week & a day at the weekend. This role may be suitable for a college student looking to gain more experience and fund themselves through their studies.
Good timekeeping is extremely important in this role as being late can cause anxiety for my daughter. A reliable and consistence face will allow my girl to relax and invite someone new into her life, if you are able to use good initiative and problem solve to reduce anxiety this would be valuable in this role.
The candidate needs to be a trustworthy bubbly, a happy outgoing individual, who is up for taking my girl on adventures and trying new things with her. She’s a bit of a rough and tumble kinda gal!
All personal care would be part of your role as she is unable to do anything for herself, including feeding & drinking. She is a very strong-willed little girl and may feel heavy as she can’t hold her own weight. Moving and assisting experience would be advantageous. My daughter can become frustrated and strong which can be out the blue, someone on the ball, fit and healthy and knowledgeable around ASN whether it’s from a previous job or life experience.
A disclosure Scotland application is required, the PVG will be funded by us if you don’t already have one. If you leave the post within 6 months the cost of the PVG should be reimbursed.
We have our own car for use of the candidate chosen candidate, however there is an age restriction on this due to insurance purposes. A full driving License is essential for this post. Being outside in nature and a zest for life means my daughter loves the outdoors. My girl loves trees, shopping, walks in all elements.
An allowance for fuel will be provided for each shift you support and this will be discussed with the family and agreed upon.
We would love this bubbly girl to gain another best friend in her life out with her family. We will work as one big supportive team. If you feel you could be that best friend for her and support her with her needs then please apply quoting the reference above. Apply to claire@ailn.org
Please note that Ayrshire Independent Living Network are not the employer. We support Families throughout Ayrshire to employ their own staff and packages of care.
