Job Title: Support Worker Driver

Location: Auchinleck Job Reference :- SBGB/ Auchinleck

Working Hours: 20 hours per week

Salary: £12 per hour

Working Days: Monday to Friday, every second Saturday

Shift Pattern: 2 weekly rolling rota

  • Week 1 –  9am until 1pm M – F
  • Week 2 – 4.30pm until 8pm M – F
  • Fortnightly 10-1 PM on a Saturday

Job Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker Driver to assist an individual with personal care tasks, appointments, social outings, and transportation. This is a part-time role with varying shifts across two weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care:

Assisting with showering, bathing, drying, and dressing, hair washing, drying, styling.

Errands and Shopping:

  • Going to local shops, assisting with shopping.

Car Care and Pet Care:

  • Assisting with feeding and walking one small dogs,  it may be noisy dog.
  • Social and Leisure Activities:
  • Accompanying the employer to medical appointments, shopping, and social outings. Assisting with leisure activities, including going to group activities and other social events.
  1. Driving:
  • Safely driving the employer’s automatic vehicle to appointments, errands, and social activities.

 

Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license and ability to drive an automatic vehicle.
  • Experience in providing personal care and household support.
  • Friendly and patient with a willingness to assist in various tasks as needed.
  • Comfortable around small dogs.
  • Physically able to perform tasks such as hoovering and using ladders for light maintenance.

Additional Information:

  • The role includes a six-month probationary period. Either party can provide one week’s notice if the post does not work out.
  • Annual leave: The post accrues 5.6 weeks of annual leave (inclusive of public holidays), which must be taken within the leave year (April 1st – March 31st). The employer may determine when some of the leave is to be taken.
  • The position is subject to a new PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) disclosure update.
