Post Personal Assistant

to a Young woman in the Troon Area

Salary

 

Living wage rate – £12.00 per hour
Job Purpose To work closely and flexibly with a Young woman who has Multiple Sclerosis to ensure she is appropriately supported to participate in a full range of opportunities in her life.

 

 

Employer You will be employed by the Young lady, who will be assisted to administer payroll and undertake the necessary employment support responsibilities by a relevant support organisation.
   
Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

Personalise as required

You will be responsible for supporting her to engage in her community life and activities as directed by her.

Being flexible is a key component to this job and you will be guided by the employer about the particular activities she wants to participate in at particular times and you are expected to support her choices.

She requires assistance with personal care support whilst showering and dressing.

Working days will be M, W, F afternoons. You will be required to have your own vehicle to take the employer out and about, she will refund your fuel.

She has a friendly cowardly cat

Part of the role is companionship, which may be in her own home.

Personal Qualities The employer enjoys going to the Cinema, the Gym, and getting out and about, sometimes this may be on the bus or train.

She is looking for someone with a good sense of humour, down to earth. She is quite quiet so not to overwhelm her, also a good listener.

The person should be good at connecting into community activities and making contacts/networks
