Personal Support Assistant/Driver
- Pay Rate: £13.15 per hour
- Hours: 2 posts, each 5 hours per week
About Jack:
Jack is 33 years old and enjoys activities like gardening, fitness, and socialising. He has additional support needs and requires assistance in maintaining control over his life and engaging with the community. The role involves helping him live independently and achieve his personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Jack to progress towards living independently and safely in his own
- Assist with decision-making, encouraging independence while offering guidance.
- Help monitor Jack’s mental and physical health.
- Facilitate Jack’s involvement in community activities and relationships.
- Assist with recreational activities and new experiences.
- Support Jack in skill development, managing feelings, and daily tasks.
- Provide help with budgeting and household duties.
- Always treat Jack with dignity, respect, and promote his individuality.
- Participate in planning and review meetings with the support team.
Team and Employee Expectations:
- Collaborate with the team to help Jack achieve his goals.
- Maintain consistent communication and participate in team meetings.
- Follow policies and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Uphold a positive image of Jack and his family.
- Be open to training and professional development.
Personal Specifications:
- Jack is looking for someone reliable, calm, flexible, respectful, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Desired skills include good communication, adaptability, confidentiality, and motivation to learn.
- Driving ability and willingness to travel or provide overnight support are additional but non-essential preferences.
- Attend work at agreed times
- Undertake any training required as part of your role.
