P/T Support Worker / Driver required
20 hrs Support worker post available : To join an existing team, over 3 to 4 days
Days will include dayshifts, backshifts, overnights and weekends on a rota system.
Days and times to be discussed at interview.
Rate of pay: £14 for all hrs worked
· 6 month, probationary period.
· Will be required to work extra hours to cover for other staff A/L, Days of work to be discussed at interview
· Full clean Drivers licence required
Personal specifications:
· Must be a confident / competent driver
· Must have a clean driver’s licence
· Experience in care sector is required
· Having a current Moving & Assisting Certificate is desirable but not essential as access to training course is provided.
· will be asked to assist with respite, which may included a paid holiday either in the uk or abroad
The employers are 2 brothers who live in the same household, they are both wheelchair users both have a muscle wasting condition that affects their day to day needs.
Duties and tasks to be undertaken:
· Full Personal Care
· Transfers using hoist
· Assisting with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
· Take part in training
· Willing to undertake training as required for the driving of the wheelchair accessible vehicle ( cost will be covered by the employer )
· Must be physically fit, this can be a physically demanding job
Their Hobbies and interests are:
· Coaching the sport of Boccia
· Sport (watching) and Music (going to gigs)
There is a 6 month probation period attached to this post, with a 1 week notice within this period if the post does not work out.
All successful applicants will have to undergo a new or update of the PVG disclosure scheme ( cost covered by the employer )
