I am a young disabled woman who is looking for a female personal assistant to join my care team. I am looking for people who are outgoing, caring and compassionate and who care about the job that they do.
In my free time, I love going out with friends for coffee. I enjoy some retail therapy in TK Maxx. I enjoy going to gigs and concerts when possible. I am keen to maintain my physical health and fitness so I am exploring the possibilities of horseriding and swimming.
Duties of the job include but are not limited to:
Assisting with personal care including showering, dressing and transferring to the toilet.
Accompanying me to meet friends and family for food and drinks.
Accompanying me to walk my dogs and all aspects of their care.
Assisting with household chores
Accompanying me to work events either in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Example Rota
2-week rolling rota
Week 1 (20hrs) Example Rota (Alternative hours could be discussed)
Mon 7:30pm – 10:30pm
Tues 7:30pm – 10:30pm
Wed 9:00am – 4:00pm
Thurs 9:00am – 4:00pm
Week 2 (20hrs)
Tue 7:30pm – 10:30pm
Wed 9:00am – 4:00pm
Thurs 7:30pm -10:30pm
Sat or Sun 9:00am – 4:00pm
Duties of the job include but are not limited to
Car drivers are needed to drive my wheelchair-accessible vehicle and female workers only need apply as permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
Successful candidates must be part of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) and provide two satisfactory references one of which must be your most recent employer. The successful candidate will be employed directly by a Personal Employer through a registered PAYE scheme. All statutory rights apply including paid holidays, statutory sick pay and pension scheme contributions (NEST pensions).
