Location: – South Ayrshire Area near to Girvan, Maybole, Turnberry and Dally.

Pay Rate £12.00 per hour plus 5.6 weeks AL Pro Rata

Personal Assistant Job description

Are you a genuinely caring, outgoing person with the ability to be friendly and supportive?

Could you provide support with personal, practical and emotional care?

Are you prepared to work in a rural location?

Are you reliable?

Are you aware of or prepared to learn about pacing – the need to adapt support to meet needs dependant on pain, energy levels, biological i.e. hormonal, nerve, trauma responses day before or from days before food intake, hydration, sleep etc

An opportunity has arisen to provide personal assistance to a woman whose health and care needs can fluctuate rapidly requiring someone with skills to get to know and understand the person’s needs, recognise signs of change in presentation and follow an agreed plan as to what to do under these circumstances.

Key Tasks

Provision of personal care as required.

Provision of support to plan, shop for and prepare meals.

Provision of support to maintain home.

Provision of support with administrative tasks i.e. organising mail/calls/paperwork

Provision of support to attend appointments.

Provision of support to identify and attend activities out with the home.

Provision of support to minimise vulnerability.

 

You must undertake any training required.

 

Two up to date Reference contacts are required one of which must be from a present or previous employer. In addition a new PVG enhanced disclosure will be required prior to appointment (disclosure cost to be met by the employer).

Probationary Period attached a 6 months to this post. During this period, either party can end the employment by giving the other one weeks’ notice.
