1 P/T Female Support Worker – REF VS/Stevenson/9
20 hours per week – Stevenston
£12.00 per hour
- Dayshift – days and times negotiable at interview.
- Some of the care may be provided in the family home if this is the young adult wish on any given day.
- Competent driver and willing to drive out with North Ayrshire. Must have own vehicle (or access to one during working hours).
- Experience of working in the care sector desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to undertake any training which may be beneficial. Training time will be paid by the employer.
- May be asked to assist with respite out with above hours, if agreeable. This might include paid holidays in the UK or abroad.
About the Employer
- The employer is a young woman who lives with her parents and younger sister. She has Autism, Learning Disability, ADHD and Noonan’s Syndrome.
- She is independent in relation to personal care and managing her own finances.
- Her hobbies include watching movies, collecting Charlie Bear Teddy Bears, colouring in and going on adventures. She also cares for her Papa, who is a very important person in her life and has an illness which affects everyday life.
- She is fun loving, has a wicked sense of humour and enjoys making others laugh.
Key Duties
- To work closely with the young adult to support and encourage her to participate in all aspects of community life; you are expected to respect her choices.
- May need to encourage and support to try new tasks that she might find challenging.
- Encourage independence.
- Going to appointments.
- Assist with hobbies and interests.
- Supporting new adventures and finding fun things to do.

Post subject to successful reference and PVG checks.
Two up to date Reference contacts are required one of which must be from a present or previous employer. In addition, a new PVG enhanced disclosure will be required prior to appointment (disclosure cost to be met by the employer).
