AILN Dementia Befriending Project – Volunteer recruitment
AIln have secured 3 years funding through the The National Lottery Community Fund for a Dementia Befriending Service throughout Ayrshire for people living with early stage dementia. We are currently recruiting for volunteer Befrienders who would be willing to be a companion to someone living with dementia to support them to access their community, attend a group, go for a walk or play scrabble , cards etc within the persons home .
In return AILN will provide you with full support, tailored training, reimbursement of any agreed travel expenses related to the project, hours and geographical area to suit you, a job reference after a satisfactory 6 months and aware recognition for your volunteering contribution.

As the projects grows we will be looking for volunteer activity coordinators, unpaid carer support and fund raising support.
